It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philip Joseph Elias at the age of 72. Born in Montreal, Quebec to Georgette McCool and Nicolas Elias, Phil moved throughout Canada before eventually settling in Toronto, where he worked as a skilled carpenter for many years. In his later years, Phil moved back to Montreal to be closer to his brother Ken, with whom he shared a special bond. Phil loved playing pool and enjoyed many types of music. He also had a passion for playing the guitar before his arthritis got in the way.
Phil leaves behind his three children, Nick, Sara (Joe) and Ben (Heather), 7 grandchildren (Mackenzie, Brendan, Landon, Cayden, Jackson, Nathan, and Amy) brother Ken and sister Elizabeth and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9H 2A7. A visitation will take place from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a ceremony at 4:00 pm. A light lunch will be served.
