It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Presseau, who left us peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, at the age of 79.
Born in Italy on March 16, 1946, Maria built a life rooted in devotion to family, generosity, and warmth. She was the heart of every gathering—known for preparing abundant dinners that brought together family, friends, and anyone who needed a place to feel welcome. Her home was a haven of laughter, love, and unforgettable meals.
Maria shared 52 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband Michel, whom she cared for tenderly during the final fifteen years of his life. Her strength and compassion were unwavering, and her love extended far beyond her immediate family. She made everyone feel like family.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Michael and Mark, and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas and Grayson. Maria was also a beloved sister, an aunt to many nieces and nephews, and her sons’ friends were always greeted with open arms and a full plate.
She is predeceased by her husband Michel, her father Nicola Centonza, and her mother Filomena Giagnorio.
A celebration of Maria’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 Boul St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All who knew and loved Maria are welcome to attend and share in honoring her memory.
Her legacy lives on in the warmth she gave, the meals she shared, and the love she poured into every moment.
