WARD, John

John Richard Ward, born on August 5, 1935, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18th, at the Lakeshore Hospital in Pointe-Claire, Qc, just weeks before his 91st birthday. He left this world resting comfortably, surrounded by love, and carrying with him the deep pride he had in the family he built.

John is survived by Susan,  along with their three children: Lori (David), John (Johanne), and Karen(Hubert). He was a cherished grandfather to Jessica, Rachel, Samantha, Amanda, Mathieu, and Emma, and a beloved great-grandfather to Piper, Ben, Noah, Ashton, and Reese.  John was predeceased by his beloved siblings George & Dawn.

He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews. Michel, Jacqueline, Teddy, and Caroline. Each of whom held a special place in his heart. Through Teddy, John formed a warm and lasting bond with Brenda, whose kindness and friendship meant a great deal to him.

Family was John’s greatest achievement and the legacy he was most proud of. His quiet strength, steady presence, and unwavering love shaped generations, creating a family bound together by the values he lived every day.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his charm & humor, and the gentle way he cared for those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on August 15th at 1:00 pm at St John the Baptist Church at 233 St Claire Ave in Pointe-Claire followed by a reception at 2:00 pm
