ABOU-MOURAD, Khalil

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Khalil Abou-Mourad, who passed away in Laval on January 12, 2025, at the age of 65. He was the beloved husband of the late Phoeby Gorgy and the loving father of Rony (Carol Ibrahim), Gaby, and Rafy Abou-Mourad.

In addition to his sons, he is survived by his sister Marie Abou-Mourad (Samer Melki), his nephews Bassam Melki (Youmna Khattar) and Sandrine Melki (Fuat Mutlu), as well as the mother of his two youngest children, Soheir Yassa. He will also be deeply missed by all the members of the Abou-Mourad, Farkouh, Melki, Nabky, Noaman, Mokbel, Saada, Kassis, Baramky, Ashkam, Khoury, Nahhas, Guebrine, Gorgy, Ibrahim, and Karagueuzian families.

Mr. Khalil Abou-Mourad was known for his warm smile, attentive nature, great sense of humor, and above all, his generous and kind heart.

Funeral Services

The family will receive condolences at The Virgin Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, located at 120 Boul. Gouin E, Montréal, QC H3L 2L9, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at the same church on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by the burial at Jardins Urgel Bourgie Cemetery, located at 8145 Chambly Road, Saint-Hubert, QC J3Y 5K2.

Memorial Donations

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in his memory to La Maison de la Sérénité, a palliative care home in Laval.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Khalil Abou-Mourad, survenu à Laval le 12 janvier 2025, à l’âge de 65 ans. Il était l’époux de feu Phoeby Gorgy et le père bien-aimé de Rony (Carol Ibrahim), Gaby et Rafy Abou-Mourad.

Outre ses fils, il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Marie Abou-Mourad (Samer Melki), ses neveux Bassam Melki (Youmna Khattar) et Sandrine Melki (Fuat Mutlu), ainsi que la mère de ses deux plus jeunes enfants, Soheir Yassa. Il sera également regretté par tous les membres des familles Abou-Mourad, Farkouh, Melki, Nabky, Noaman, Mokbel, Saada, Kassis, Baramky, Ashkam, Khoury, Nahhas, Guebrine, Gorgy, Ibrahim et Karagueuzian.

Khalil Abou-Mourad était un homme reconnu pour son sourire chaleureux, son écoute attentive et son sens de l’humour, mais surtout pour son immense générosité et son grand cœur.

Cérémonies Funéraires

La famille recevra les condoléances à l’église The Virgin Mary Antiochian Orthodox, située au 120 Boul. Gouin E, Montréal, QC H3L 2L9, le mercredi 15 janvier 2025, de 18 h à 21 h.

Les funérailles seront célébrées à la même église le jeudi 16 janvier 2025, à 11 h, suivies de l’inhumation au cimetière Jardins Urgel Bourgie, au 8145, chemin de Chambly, Saint-Hubert (QC) J3Y 5K2.

Dons Commémoratifs

En guise de témoignage de sympathie, la famille suggère qu’au lieu de fleurs, des dons soient faits à La Maison de la Sérénité, maison de soins palliatifs à Laval.

La famille remercie chaleureusement tous ceux qui partageront leur soutien et leurs pensées en cette période de deuil.

ببالغ الحزن والأسى، نعلن وفاة السيد خليل أبو مراد الذي وافته المنية في مدينة لافال بتاريخ 12 يناير 2025 عن عمر يناهز 65 عامًا. كان الراحل زوجًا للمرحومة فيبي جورجي ووالدًا محبًا لكل من روني (كارول إبراهيم)، جابي ورافي أبو مراد.

بالإضافة إلى أبنائه، يترك الراحل خلفه شقيقته ماري أبو مراد (سامر ملكي)، وأبناء شقيقته بسام ملكي (يمنى ختار) وساندرين ملمي (فؤاد موتلو)، بالإضافة إلى والدة ولديه الصغيرين سهير يسى. كما سيفتقده أفراد عائلات أبو مراد، فركوح، ملكي، نبكي، نعمان، مقبل، سعادة،                          قسيس، برامكي، اشقم، خوري، نحاس، جبرين، جورجي، إبراهيم، وكراجوزيان.

لقد عُرف السيد خليل أبو مراد بابتسامته الدائمة، طبيعته الحنونة، حسّه الفكاهي، وقلبه الكبير الذي كان مليئًا بالعطاء والكرم.

مراسم الجنازة

تتقبل العائلة التعازي في كنيسة السيدة العذراء الأنطاكية الأرثوذكسية، الكائنة في 120 بوليفار جوين الشرقي، مونتريال، كيبك H3L 2L9، يوم الأربعاء 15 يناير 2025 من الساعة 6 مساءً حتى 9 مساءً.

تُقام مراسم الجنازة في نفس الكنيسة يوم الخميس 16 يناير 2025 الساعة 11 صباحًا، تليها مراسم الدفن في مقبرة Jardins Urgel Bourgie الواقعة في 8145 طريق شامبلي، سان هوبرت، كيبك J3Y 5K2.
