BACO, Joseph (Joe)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph ‘’Joe’’ Baco on January 28, 2025, at the age of 87. Joe is now reunited with his beloved wife Thérèse Pellerin.
Originally from the Saguenay region, born in Arvida to immigrant parents from Slovakia, he was a proud Arvidian. In the early 1960s, he moved to Montreal where he pursued a career with General Motors, at the GMC Truck Centre.
Joe is predeceased by his father Juraj Baco and his mother Anna Neckar, and sisters Julie (Robert) and Irene. He is survived by his sister Annie (Réjean), his nieces Kyna (Jeff) and Vicky. Also, his niece Linda (Paul) and his nephew Teddy, relatives and numerous friends. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law André Pellerin (Ginette), sisters-in-law Louise and Monique, several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695, boul. St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec H9H 2A7, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Visitation from 1-2 p.m., the service at 2 p.m., followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
