BARROW, Maurice

Maurice Barrow passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old.
Born on October 15, 1945, in South Shields, England, Maurice devoted his life to his family, his grandchildren, and his career as an electrical engineer. He inspired friends, family, and colleagues alike through his kindness, patience, integrity, and dedication. Throughout his life, he was known for his steady presence, thoughtful guidance, and willingness to help others.
In retirement, Maurice found great joy in gardening, feeding the animals that visited his garden, and spending treasured time with his wife and grandchildren. His greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family and friends, whom he loved deeply and supported unwaveringly.
Maurice is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jeannette Mary McLeod Barrow; his brother Kenneth Barrow, his daughters, Lorna (Rob) Barrow and Jeannette Louise (Brian) Barrow; and his seven cherished grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Annie Myra Shirley and Thomas Scott Barrow, his brother Jackie Connett and his beloved daughter, Sarah Jane Barrow.
A church service will be held on July 6, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Edmund’s Church, 105 Beaconsfield Blvd., Beaconsfield, Qc followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery, 701 Donegani, Pointe-Claire, Qc. A reception by invitation will follow the burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence in Maurice’s memory.
Maurice will be remembered for his generosity, warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering leadership within his family. His love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him and will continue to guide those he leaves behind.
