It is with deep sadness that we announce that Ruby McPhee (Chafe) passed away on September 27, 2023, at the Lakeshore General Hospital at the age of 97. She was the devoted and loving wife of Earl Chafe for 66 years before he passed away in 2022. Beloved mother of the late Glenn (Johanne), of Peter (Wendy) and of the late Ross (Lizanne). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren David (Martha), Megan (Andy), Stephanie (Frank), Ryan, Nolan, Alexandra, Fabienne, Isabelle and her two great-granddaughters Isla and Mica. Ruby held her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren close to her heart and always took a special interest in their lives. She was kind with everyone she met and always asked for news about them and their family. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
There will be a service on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 321, rue Empire, Greenfield Park, QC, J4V 1V4, tel: 450-671-6000. The service will be followed by a reception held in the church hall. The burial will take place on October 30th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Mount Royal Cemetery for family members and close friends.
