CHAMPOUX, Claire
- January 10, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, who took her last breath on Friday, January 10, at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
She passed away peacefully in the early hours of the morning, surrounded by her children.
Mom was a faithful and devoted wife, a loving and exceptional mother, a welcoming and kind mother-in-law, an inspiring grandmother to her three granddaughters, and a great-grandmother filled with admiration for her precious treasure, her little great-granddaughter Victoria, her joy and her light.
She is survived by her children, Martin and Josée (Guy), her three granddaughters, Elizabeth (Malcolm), Virginie (Maxime), and Lili-Anne (Elvis), as well as her ray of sunshine, her great-granddaughter Victoria. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters-in-law Nicole, Moisette, and Ginette, as well as her many nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her kindness, generosity, and unconditional love.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the palliative care and internal medicine units at the Royal Victoria Hospital, particularly Dr. Kanji and Dr. Gingras, as well as nurse Lorraine. A special thanks to Margaret, who ensured that our mom was treated with dignity and compassion.
As we awaited a place for her at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence, where our father passed away in 2020, we invite you to make a donation in her memory through their website: Make a Donation Today | Support Palliative Care in Our Community.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, we will hold a private celebration of her life with close family to honor her memory in love and intimacy.
Rest in peace, Mom.
