FREEMAN, Gabrielle (née Corbeil)
- October 1, 2024

1949-2024
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Gabrielle Freeman (née Corbeil) on October 1, 2024. She leaves behind her devoted husband, John, and her daughters, Danielle (Justin) and Nicole (Dan). Gab was a proud and doting grandmother to Madison, Ryan, Jeremy, and Naomi. Predeceased by her loving mother Lucille “Lucy Baby” Corbeil and father Philippe Corbeil as well as sisters Rita and Madeleine. She will be forever cherished by her siblings Suzanne, Lise, Louie, George, Michelle, and Marie. Her presence was adored by her dear friends and extended family near and far.
Born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Gab made Montreal her home for the past 47 years.
Gab will be remembered for her remarkable kindness, always taking the time to listen and offer a gentle word. She was generous beyond measure, with a heart of gold that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her beauty radiated both inside and out, and she carried herself with a dainty grace. Gab was deeply family-oriented, and her devotion to her loved ones was unwavering.
She had a wide range of interests that kept her busy and fulfilled. A hospital volunteer, she gave selflessly to her community. She enjoyed playing tennis, golfing with John and walking, always staying active. An avid reader and an extraordinary gardener, Gab found joy in the simple things. She took great pride in creating a warm and inviting home. She was also a keen card player and passionate traveler. Gab was fortunate to explore the world with John, enriching her life with unforgettable experiences.
Visitation with the family will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 4-7pm at Voluntas Commemoration, 4695 Boul. Saint-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9H 2A7.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers please send donations to Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation.
