CORREA, Mark
December 22, 2022

September 20, 1967 – December 22, 2022

On December 22, 2022, our beloved Mark passed away at the age of 55 at home.
Mark was a kind and generous soul, who at the age of 17 was struck by a debilitating terminal illness that lasted 38 years. He is now at peace.

He will be sorely missed by his parents, Agnes and Martin; his twin brother, Luke (Elen and sons, Mark and Alex); his sister, Christine (John and their children, Anna and Matthew); and his brother, Edward (Suzanne and their children, Emily and Jacob).

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Luke’s Parish, 106 Anselme-Lavigne, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc H9A 1N8, on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 12-1 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 1 p.m.

To protect all attendees from the spread of COVID and the Flu, we prefer that attendees wear a mask. Masks will be provided.

A private burial (limited to immediate family) to take place at Rideau Memorial Gardens on the same day.

The family would like to thank the CLSC Pierrefonds, especially Dr. Chantal Sylvestre who has cared for Mark for many years, the Lakeshore General Hospital, and the Montreal Children’s Hospital for their support, care, and compassion over the last 38 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory to the Montreal Children’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

“A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again” -Maya Angelou

It is with sadness that we received the news of Marks’ passing. Our condolences especially to his twin brother Luke who cared for Mark throughout such a lengthy illness to the point of motivating the entire extended family to pick up the slack during the many difficult times.
We would like to acknowledge the many friends and neighbors that supported his family in various ways throughout Mark’s illness.

The love and care shared by his immediate family was so seamless it would be difficult to be matched by any institution. They missed out many long weekends, picnics and family gatherings over the period of his illness. I am sure Mark will be watching over each and every member of his family.

Sending our heartfelt sympathies as well as wishes of love and joy during this time. The dedication, love and perserverance that the family demonstrated over the years is inspiring and heartwarming. Mark brought everyone together in a way that others may never have the privilege of experiencing. Right from childhood, visits were never complete without spending some time with Mark.

Thank you for sharing the celebration of Mark’s life with us.
