1946-2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pierre Duhamel after a long and heroic battle with cancer. Pierre passed away peacefully at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on November 11, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.
Handsome, charming and generous to a fault, he will be greatly mourned by his loving wife Rosalyn Beaudoin, the love of his life and partner, his children, Yannick Duhamel (Natasha Coulomb), Pascale Duhamel and Alexandre Duhamel, and their mother Annette Picard, his step-children Stephanie Nolan (Graham Wilkinson) and Jayem Nolan (Karena Cobden), grandchildren Nathan, Philip, Fay, Johnathan and Rebecca and great-granddaughters Penelope and Savannah.
Pre-deceased by his cherished brother George of Italy (Antonella Iurilli), and mourned by his beloved brothers Claude (Jocelyne Jolin) and Lucien (Therese Fraser). Pierre will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and clients.
A man of many talents, he will long be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, his passion for the visual arts, his many paintings, sculptures and photographs, and for entertaining both young and old with his magic and pantomime.
A man of the utmost integrity, compassion, and a deep understanding of human nature, Pierre spent his career in the field of Human Resources and eventually co-founded Beaudoin Duhamel Transitions Inc. where he helped thousands with their careers over the years.
He was extremely grateful for the wonderful care he received and we sincerely thank Dr. Jason Agulnik and his team at the Montreal Jewish General Hospital, his pivot nurse Tara Jesion, the exceptional care from the West Island Palliative Care Residence, the personnel at the CLSC Lac St Louis, NOVA, and Nathalie Turgeon, Pharmacist and her team for the professional and extraordinary attention to his needs.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made to the West Island Palliative Care Residence or the Montreal Jewish General Hospital in his memory.

November 21, 2016 at 11:06 amThank you Maureen. Yes he was a fighter. Heroic in fact He never complained, was never a victim and accepted his illness with grace and did it all on his own terms. He was so grateful for your numerous cards (I kept all of them) and when he received the last one his comment was “wow she is so persistent, how nice “. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your constant support. Your cards meant a lot to him but also to me. He was a wonderful man. I will miss him forever.

Although we did not keep in touch often, we heard (by Stephanie) about the battle fought by Pierre with your help Rosalyn and it was amazing to feel the love given and received through this difficult period. WE will remember Pierre forever and you are also in our heart and hope to meet you again at some point. Suzanne and Jean-Yves
