    Dear Tara, Kathryn and Family,
We were so saddened to hear of John’s death, and so thankful that we had an opportunity to speak with him by phone a few weeks ago. His compassion, loyalty and humour were gifts to us and all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all of you.

John and his beloved Mary Ann are two of the warmest and most kind people I have ever known. They welcomed our family into theirs with open arms and for that, I am forever grateful. My heart is a little less heavy knowing that John and Mary Ann are together again, watching over all of us. John will be dearly missed. We love you all!

Beverley and Jim Vanstone were deeply distressed to learn of John’s passing. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to all of John’s family. John took piano lessons from Beverley and Jim was close to John in wayfarers and in many other ways in the church and as friends.

My condolences to the whole family. Because of back issues am not able to attend although I had planned to go with Shirley. Thinking of you during this fragile time. John was a wonderful man in every respect and am happy to have known him. Fondly remembering the good times shared.
