It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Franzios on July 1, 2021.Gerry, known as Mr. Gerry to some, was an active member of the Greek Community of the West Island for many years. A great man, he was loving, caring and always giving. The classiest and gentlest man you could meet, he was an angel to all his family and friends. His jokes and quick wit will be deeply missed by all. Although his family and friends will mourn his passing, Papou will forever be in our hearts.

July 6, 2021 at 1:56 pmMr. Gerry will be remembered as the kind protector of a generation of Kuper Academy students. Throughout the four seasons Mr. Gerry stood watch to ensure that the playgrounds were safe for children to enjoy their outdoor activities. To them he was a gentle giant who stood watch over their play. We will all miss him greatly. Rest in peace, Mr. Gerry!
