It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Lloyd George on April 19th, at the age of 69. He passed peacefully with his family by his side.
David lived in Montreal, in Pointe-Claire, and will be remembered for his generosity and unwavering willingness to help others. Known for his heart of gold, he carried a strong sense of community through both his church and his many friendships. He was someone people could always count on.
He dedicated 39 years of his professional life to the aviation industry working at Bombardier, and continued to share that passion through his volunteer work at the Montreal Aviation Museum. His commitment to both his field and his community left a lasting impression.
Above all, David was a deeply devoted husband, father, and grandad. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Doreen; his children, Lisa, Heather (husband Daniel Maislin), and Neil (wife Antonina Triassi); his cherished grandchildren, Nathan and Riley Maislin, and Jackson George; as well as his mother, Frieda, and siblings, Michael, Steven, and Nancy.
He had a love for travel and adventure, especially diving, and was a passionate music fan who found joy in life’s simple moments.
A funeral service will be held at St. Columba by the Lake Church, 11 Rodney Ave, Pointe-Claire on Saturday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m. All are invited to come celebrate his life, with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in David’s name.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

April 22, 2026 at 8:57 amDave nd I were lunch neighbours at the museum. We both learned early on we shared a mentor in Mr. Bill Doran. He was Dave’s teacher in aviation early on and Bill was my president at the museum. Dave was exceptionally a smooth gentleman who many appreciated his company.

He left us far too soon but taught us what it means to be a good person, loving husband and father. We will not meet his kind again any time soon. I am deeply saddened.

April 20, 2026 at 9:13 pmDave and I were pals in Pointe Claire at Lindsay Place and John Abbott college. I remember helping Dave on mechanical work on his Valliant! I wish I had followed his choice of going into the Aircraft Technician programme at Dawson College rather than following my parents line that I had to go to University. It is quite a shock to me to know one of my classmates could pass away so early.
I messaged Dave about 6 months ago and again a month or so ago and he seemed to be in such good spirits.

I have great memories of those times, especially Dave driving us around in his Valiant. All the great things said here about him were true back then as well: He was the real deal. April 22, 2026 at 5:25 pmI was deeply saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. I had the privilege of working alongside him for over 20 years, and throughout that time I came to respect him not only as a colleague, but as a truly kind and thoughtful person.
Our conversations, whether about work or everyday life, were always something I looked forward to. Dave had a way of making even the simplest exchanges meaningful, and their warmth and pleasant nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew them.

His vast knowledge of the aircraft and connections made our mission to move and restore the aircraft a lot easier. We will miss him and his dedication to the museum. He was an incredible person who’s dedication and friendship will be hard forgotten. An incredible team player.. To the family our sincere sympathies.

After I left Bombardier we would run into each other at different events, on the ball field where he coached, at music festivals, and the last time was on the shuttle from an Als game. Dave was a nice guy, always smiling and never with a bad word. May he rest easy.
