Dennis Robert William Halsall, born October 17, 1954, in Paris, Ontario. Dennis passed away peacefully on November 20, 2022 at the Montreal General Hospital at the age of 68.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, his siblings, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.
Dennis loved music, travel, photography (especially birds) and was an avid reader. Dennis was witty and as a boy he drew many cartoon strips, including around the walls of his bedroom at eye level ! Dennis enjoyed nothing more than engaging in conversations on a myriad of topics. Dennis also enjoyed Dic Ann’s cheeseburgers, strawberry milkshakes and going on picnics.
Dennis’s latest passion was family history. He did extensive research into the Halsall Ancestry, including the Kilcoyne, Casey and Waters families. Dennis documented and prepared detailed summaries, to be preserved for the family.
In his professional career, Dennis worked on numerous complex projects, including integration and infrastructure in the communication systems field. As a project manager, Dennis obtained many important certifications in his field and received high recommendations from the various companies he worked with.
Dennis was a loving, caring and generous husband to Barbara, his family and his friends. He will be sorely missed by us all. Rest in peace.
To celebrate Dennis’s life, a private gathering for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or NOVA West Island.
