It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jen Yu (Steve) Hsiao.
Devoted and loving husband of Lin Hsiu (Linda) Wang . Beloved father of Kai Wei and Kai Lu .
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
The family will receive family and friends at Voluntas, (4695 boul. St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc H9H 2A7) this 16th of April from 3:00PM to 7:00PM with a ceremony starting at 4:00PM. Finger foods and drinks will follow.

April 14, 2026 at 9:53 pmI knew Steve since joined GU in yr. 2000, ane became closer friend started from they planned to move to Canada, after that we kept good friendship besides of working relations, in my memory Steve is always very gentle, kind and with smile in his face. The sudden leave us reminds me with all the grieves and I wish him happiness on the sky continuesly. Prays for him.

After Scott my dearest friend and I Aquanar, it was decided to have Steve and family move to Montreal and for Steve to take an senior engineering role with Robert D and family made their new adventure in Canada. April 15, 2026 at 1:49 amI have known Steve at the Tamkang University since 1979. He was a smart gentle person and a good mentor while we studied Aeronautical Engineering together. I was so grateful to visit Steve and Linda in the Summer of 2024 with my wife Carol. They took very beautiful double rainbow photos for us in Montreal. We felt so heartbroken for the loss of Steve. Wishing Linda be peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I vividly remember when I first took over the NSF accounts; I was completely overwhelmed and lost. Steve patiently guided me step-by-step, sharing his expertise on technical knowledge and documentation processes, which allowed me to master the role in record time. His rigorous standards and genuine kindness toward colleagues left an indelible mark on my life.

April 15, 2026 at 6:49 amSteve and I were classmates for all three years of high school and graduated together in 1979. Though it has been 47 years since we last met after graduation, the memories of those three years remain vivid.
Our group of former classmates in Taiwan has been expressing their sorrow and sharing memories on our LINE group. We are all deeply saddened by this news. We wish him a peaceful journey ahead—free from pain and filled only with happiness, like a joyful angel.
