May 6, 1933 – February 18, 2017
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our mom on February 18, 2017 at the age of 83 at the Stillview Pavilion of the West Island Palliative Care Residence. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Johnston. Daughter of the late George and Mae Robertson. Predeceased by her brother, John (Joan), and survived by her sister, Rosemary (Ed), and her brothers, Craig (Marilyn), Brian (Margaret) and Gary (Anne). Dear mother of Craig (Bethany) and James (Nadine). Proud and loving grandmother of Jonah. Marlyne will be remembered for her compassion, generosity, and strong dedication to her community and the Parish of St. Edmund of Canterbury in Beaconsfield, Quebec. She will also be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends alike, and for her wonderful sense of humour.
Visitation will be held on February 25, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., mass at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church, 105 Beaconsfield Boulevard, Beaconsfield, QC. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to the West Island Palliative Care Residence (www.wipcr.ca, 514-693-1718) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Voluntas (514-695-7979, voluntas.ca).

February 20, 2017 at 6:21 pmLoving sister, queen bee, director of affairs, once described as a “blackbelt Catholic”. Measured to perfection in her love for Craig and James and , most definitely, in her love for Jonah and immense love and respect for Bethany and Nadine. Marlyne and Bob provided well and left so much good will and strength and love of life to their family and friends…thanks Sis.
