It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Priya Karnick, age 49, on December 7, 2023. She departed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family.
Priya’s legacy lives on through her husband Arek, her children Aysha, Kieran and Kaya, mother Sandhya, sister Sonali and brother-in-law Steve.
Priya was an amazing woman and a devoted wife to Arek and a loving mother to their three children, Aysha, Kieran and Kaya. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Born on November 13, 1974, in Mumbai, India, Priya lived a life defined by compassion, confidence, kindness, and an indomitable spirit. She touched the lives of those around her with her infectious smile, empowering demeanor, and selfless acts of love.
Priya and Arek shared a lifetime of beautiful moments, from the joyous birth of their children to the simple pleasures of living. Her care and guidance shaped the lives of Aysha, Kieran and Kaya. Her memory will forever be etched in their hearts.
Beyond her role as a wife and mother, Priya was an incredibly intelligent and thoughtful woman with a spine of steel. She was cherished among many friends. Her generosity, empathy, and willingness to lend a helping hand left an enduring impact on everyone around her.
To celebrate her life, visitation will be from 9-11am with a funeral service from 11am-12pm at Voluntas Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada foundation, a cause that held a special meaning to Priya.
