1957-2018
After a courageous battle with cancer, Sandy went peacefully to be with our Lord while at the West Island Palliative Care Residence on July 15, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Andrew Paterson, her cherished daughter Rebecca (Patrick), and grandsons, Salem and Brennan. She was predeceased by her mother, Anne Cibula, and father, Rolland Kemp, as well as her siblings Yvan, Patricia, and Ron and her father-in-law, Cal Paterson. Sandy is survived by her siblings Ralph (Suzanne), Ann (Emmett), Bob (Karen), Ken, Pat, Linda (Gerry), Diane (Mark), and sisters-in-law, Giselle and Marylynn. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Sheila, brothers-in-law, Mark and Calvin (Marie- Helene), and sister-in-law Heather (Stuart). Sandy will be dearly missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Sandy will be remembered for her perseverance, positive spirit, and bubbly nature. Despite any hardship or challenge that she faced through her life, she rose above with a cheerful attitude and limitless optimism. Sandy was incredibly dedicated to her work, her family, her faith, and her friends. She was known to many for her kindness, courage, grace, and sense of humour.
A Celebration of her life will take place on August 11, 2018 at 4:00pm at Madison Baptist Church, 6297 Monkland Avenue, Montreal Qc. H4B 1G8. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to your favourite charity.

July 26, 2018 at 12:13 pmI love the picture and smile on Sandy’s face, it’s exactly how I think of her! I’ve known Sandy for quite some time and my memories are only good. Thank you for the laughs, your kind heart, for your bright smile, for sharing and your warm presence. Always a class act, optimistic and great role model. At the YWCA, your presence will be missed and my thoughts are particularly with Andrew and Rebecca, your family, friends and colleagues. Heaven has extra smiles now. Rest peacefully. <3
