STEFANISZYN, Helen Mary (Née Kulas)
January 30, 2024

August 16, 1928 – January 30, 2024

We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Helen, on January 30, 2024 at the age of 95, just one day after seeing the entire family who were in town for Kristi’s wedding. Helen was born August 16, 1928 in Montreal, residing in Pointe Claire and Beaconsfield most of her life. She is predeceased by her husband, John Stefaniszyn, and her sister Lucy Taraba. Helen is survived by her three sons, Henry (Evelyne), Bob (Sue) and Ed (Debbie), grandchildren Ian (Lessia), Heather (Mike), Michael (Catherine), Kristi (Alex), Kimberly and Connor (Taylor), and great-grandchildren Leo, Audrey, Ollie and Hazel.

Helen obtained her BSc from Marianopolis College and began her career as a chemist in her early years.  She then raised her family and ventured into Real Estate. Helen enjoyed travelling and cruising the world and often took her grandchildren with her on her adventures. She was a devoted mother and very proud of her family and was always eager to visit and help out. Mom will be dearly missed.

With her husband John, Helen was a devout Catholic, and a funeral mass will be held at St. Edmunds Catholic Church in Beaconsfield, Quebec. Public visitation begins at 11:30 am with mass at 12 pm on Monday, February 5. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately after the service. We wish to express our appreciation to Ravi and all the staff at Residence Persaud in Beaconsfield, who made her final months so enjoyable.

In lieu of flowers donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation are welcome.
