LARIVIERE, Charles
- April 22, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Lariviere, in Montreal, on April 22, 2026, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his devoted spouse of 43 years, Dominique Ravenda, and his beloved son, Matthew.
Charlie also leaves behind his loving siblings: Deborah (Wes), June (Bob), Janet (Hans), Sandra, Gail (Tim), Donna (Mark), and Darlene (Andre). He is predeceased by his twin sister Wendy (Joe). He will also be deeply missed by his cherished in-law family, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Having lost his own parents at a young age, Charlie developed a quiet strength and resilience that would shape the man he became—a strength he carried with him throughout his life.
Charlie was fun-loving, with an endearing and charismatic personality that immediately drew people in. He had a rare ability to make you feel like you were the only person in the room—a gift that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
In his retirement, Charlie found great joy working in the locker room at Elm Ridge Golf Course, where he built meaningful friendships with members and staff alike. The camaraderie, conversations, and support he shared there became a truly special part of his later years.
He will be remembered for his resilience, his kindness, his quick wit, and his ability to make people laugh. He also had an unwavering love for the Boston Bruins and his time on the golf course.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made through donations in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Voluntas funeral home (4695 St-Jean Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9H 2A7) on May 8, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A ceremony in the Chapel will take place at 2 p.m. Food and beverages will be served, featuring some of his favorite dishes—just the way he would have liked it.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
