It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edgar Léger on July 3, 2023, at the age of 87. Devoted father, cherished grandfather and beloved husband of the late Georgette Prévost with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Born in Hudson to René and Alice Léger, he resided in Pierrefonds most of his life which he loved for its peacefulness, nature, and community. He was honoured for his outstanding contribution to youth baseball and hockey.

Edgar was deeply attached to his family and had a profound love for life. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, dedication and affability as well as a very proud entrepreneur. While we will miss him, we are comforted by the memories of his happy and fulfilled life.

He is survived by his two sons, Roger (Renée-Claude) and Louis (Julie); three grandchildren who were his greatest pride, Olivia, Maxime and Adele; his brother Pierre, and his sisters Gisèle, Micheline (Paul), and Denise, as well as several relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings; Pierrette, Constance, Bernard, Raymond, André, Jacques, Réjeane and Lise.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, September 23, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral Complex Voluntas, 4695 Saint-Jean Blvd. in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. The celebration of his life will begin at 11:30 a.m. The burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. at the Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin Cemetery in Hudson.
