Margaret Lind

1928 – 2022

On August 17, 2022, our darling Maggie left us. We can only imagine that she is watching over us from her favourite place, the prairie skies of Saskatchewan. She celebrated her 94th birthday on August 2nd – but she would have told you “I am 29 – and shut up”! She passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Maggie was a lovely person who touched everyone’s lives with wisdom and humour. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She leaves to mourn, her great love, husband Derek. Her stepchildren, Laurie (Bob Meating), Diana and Christopher (Amber). She was “Bam” to grandsons Derek and Trevor Meating, granddaughters Stephanie and Taylor Lind and their Mom, daughter-in-law Christine, and granddaughter Jane Santen. Due to age, Alzheimer’s and the pandemic, Maggie did not have a chance to enjoy time with her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Haley, Aidan and Jackson, but loved seeing photos of them.

Special mention to Cindy, Maggie’s caregiver for several years. You brought Maggie so much joy.

We are very grateful for the love and support we have always received from our cousins and extended family. Many thanks to family friends for reaching out over the last few years to check on Maggie. We really appreciate the love you have for her.

We would like to thank CLSC Pierrefonds Homecare network for the help Maggie received, especially during her last days.

A celebration of life will be held in Maggie’s honour at a later date.
