It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kim Maciej, on August 6, 2024 at the age of 45. Beloved wife of Mark Hooper, loving and devoted mother to William and James, daughter of Patricia Bilodeau, sister of David Maciej. Kim was predeceased by her father Donald Maciej and mother-in-law Jill Hooper.
Kim was the single greatest woman I have ever known. I am proud that she has been with me for twenty five years. She gave me two incredible boys and a home I didn’t think I would ever deserve. Thank you for being my Wife and Mother to William and James. We miss you dearly.
A gathering will take place on August 16, 2024 at the Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9H 2A7. Visitation from 12-2 p.m., followed by eulogies at 2 p.m.
Attire: Casual, please dress in practical and comfortable clothing with a touch of blue in honour of Kim (if possible).
Donations in her memory to Lachine Hospital Foundation Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated.

Allow me to express my deepest condolences to one of the sweetest & thoughtful persons I have ever known. I had the pleasure of working with Kim for quite a few years & fondly remember her baking chocolate banana bread for the team or how she loved to knit (breaks & lunch) I was even able to have her crochet for me a blanket (which I called my sick blanket) much like the one of my youth. She always perferred tea over coffee as I believe we are all aware & she had the most gorgeous eyes & smile. Truly the most kind-hearted person one could hope to have in their life.
Kim was the type of person that was extremely private & her eyes would always light up when speaking of her family.
Her presence was a gift to us all.

My thoughts and *prayers* are with you all at this time. I sort of know how you feel, having lost a husband and mother, and how you will miss Kim .. but we all have different griefs and needs ..
As Jill/grandma oldest Canadian friend you and your family has always been part of mine .. even at a distance.
