Angus Campbell Maitland
July 4, 1936 to August 25, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Angus Campbell Maitland peacefully at the age of 86 on August 25, 2022, at the Lakeshore Hospital in Pointe Claire, Quebec. Angus was predeceased by his brother Douglas and was the adoring father to son Colin and daughter-in law Cindy, and daughter Diane and son-in-law Blaine. He also leaves behind his brother Kenneth and sister-in-law Eleanor, five grandchildren (Sean, Kyle, Ashley, Summer, and Bradley), and two great-grandchildren (Saoirse and Rowan). He had the pleasure of spending his last eleven years with his beloved Laraine Taylor who captured his heart and made his later years joyful.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and he will be remembered for his strong will, caring spirit and great sense of humour. We will cherish all the beautiful memories we shared with him during his wonderful life.
Angus’s ashes will be taken back to Scotland at a later date in order that he can go back home.
Donations in his memory may be made to the CNIB Guide Dog program. Angus loved his grand puppies!
Hit em straight Angus and catch you at the 19th hole!

August 31, 2022 at 3:21 pmAngus, you will truly be missed. You’ve given my mother Laraine many years of joy and happiness after my father’s passing. It was always a joy, a pleasure, and a lot of fun when we all got together as a family and I will truly miss those. Rest in peace and hope one day to see you on the other side.

December 24, 2022 at 4:50 pmMy deepest sympathies to Laraine, Diane and Collin and all the family.
Diane and Collin, your dad was extremely proud of you both. Countless times on a golf cart, your dad would talk about you with great pride.
How you will be missed Angus, on and off the golf course. Your accent, your sense of humor, your integrity, truthfulness and the sparkle in your eyes when you talked about Laraine.
It was also a pleasure to have had you as a colleague, knowledgeable and truthful.
May the pain we feel be subsided by the fond memories we keep of you.
RIP my friend and peace to the family.
