Mr. André Paradis

November 19, 1934 – June 3, 2020

The family of André Paradis is sad to announce his peaceful passing on June 3, 2020, in his 85th year, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Montreal. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses who provided wonderful care for him.

Son of the late Ludger Paradis and Marie-Anna Sirois. Loving husband of Elizabeth Taylor for the last 58 years. Proud father of Eric (Evangeline) and Natalie (Todd), grandfather of Austin and Nia. Brother to the late Gerard (Solange), late Jean-Luc (late Rose-Aimée), Jeanne d’Arc (late Jean-Paul) and Germaine (Claude). He also leaves behind him many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A retiree from CIBC, André enjoyed maintaining contact with a close circle of friends and relatives.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 11 a.m., at Ste-Geneviève Catholic Church, 16075 Gouin W., Ste-Geneviève, H9H 1C7. Family will receive condolences at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A private burial will follow in the Columbarium Frère André, located behind the church.

Deepest sympathy to Liz and and the entire family. André was a kind and caring man who always looked out for the well being of his friends. He will be missed by many, not the least by his retirement breakfast buddies for his lively conversation and good humor. For the past 12 years I looked forward to chatting with André at our monthly get-togethers. Rest in peace my friend.

Liz, I was so sorry to hear of André’s passing, and want to express my sympathies to you and the family. How I appreciated your thoughtful phone call at the time of Alan’s passing, and I want to extend similar words of comfort to you at this time. When you recall your 58 years of marriage, don’t be sad because it is over; smile because it happened. Happy memories are so precious.
