Rita Kilerick Shepherd

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Kilerick Shepherd, on April 12, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Albert (Bert) Shepherd. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She will be deeply missed by her children Stephen (Brenda), Linda (Peter), and Nancy (Serge), her grandkids Zanatos, Emma, Klaudia, Leah, and Corey, her companion Serge Demers, and many other loyal and caring friends. Rita was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

A private gathering and service will be held at Voluntas Funeral, on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Due to the pandemic situation, the gathering and service will be by invitation only. The service will be available on Live Stream at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donation to Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence would be greatly appreciated.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Voluntas (514-695-7979, info@voluntas.ca).

We have many great memories being neighbours and friends on Place de la Concorde for so, so many years. Mrs Shepherd is now looking down and watching over all of us with Mr. Shepherd and my Dad. Keep your memories close.

My sincere condolences to Nancy, Linda and Stephen and your families on the passing of your Mom and Grand- Mom. Rita was a kind and caring person who I liked from the moment I met her many years ago. She was bubbly and positive and had a great sense of humour. We shared many a laugh and good time together and I will certainly miss her.

Rita was a breath of fresh air as Louise and I moved into Le Cambridge by welcoming us into our new journey. I wish the family good strength as you enter a period of healing. God speed to Rita.
