April 28, 1939 – July 28, 2020
Passed away in Pointe-Claire on July 28th at the age of 81 years old. He leaves his sons Marek and Stefan and their spouses Perla and Luk; his grandchildren Shane and Liam Sobanski, his partner Elizabeth Mostovac, as well as many other family members and friends in mourning.
Having been an outstanding and dedicated teacher for most of his life, he naturally knew how to guide others while transmitting his altruistic qualities. A caring father, a generous grandfather, an educated and curious man, he was and will remain an avid traveller, now in front of the Eternal and en route to join his beloved late wife Jeannette Sobanski.
A celebration of life will take place at St-John Fisher Church, 120 Summerhill, Pointe-Claire, Qc H9R 2L7, on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Voluntas.

August 8, 2020 at 9:14 pmMother Theresa’s poem was seemingly written especially for Jan: Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it, Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is a sorrow, overcome it.
