Normand passed away peacefully at Lakeshore Hospital on August 27, 2021, fourteen years after an automobile accident that left him a quadriplegic. Normand was a lawyer, vice-president of the Blue Bonnets Racetrack, businessman, director of various charities and philanthropist, but most of all, he was a loving husband, devoted father and generous grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Catherine who shared his life for more than fifty years, their three children and spouses, Anne (Nicolas), Clément (Julie) and Pierre Éloi (Caroline) and their seven grandchildren (Joseph, Clovis, Claire, Léon, Elie, Clémence and Adrien), his brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, godchildren, cousins, aunts and uncles and many friends.
The family would like to thank all the care staff he worked with on his long road to rehabilitation and in his daily life for all these years as well as the many people who contributed to his well-being at home. Catherine, Anne and Pierre Éloi would like to acknowledge the contribution of Clément, who humbly and faithfully supported Normand without fail.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to the RÉA Foundation (fondationrea.ca), the Sainte-Geneviève Parish (paroissestegenevieve.org) or the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal (pcmr.ca).
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Sainte-Geneviève, 16 075 Gouin Boulevard West, Ste-Geneviève. The family will receive sympathy before and after the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and from noon to 1:00 pm at the same address.
