On April 3rd, Yolande Vermette passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on August 14, 1935, Yolande will be remembered with deep affection by all who crossed her path. She was kind, warm, welcoming, supportive, positive, endlessly patient, fiercely loyal, and profoundly loving woman, wife, mom, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence made every space brighter.

Yolande was the devoted wife of Jean Paul, and a cherished mother to Lynn (George), Richard (Vickie). She was the much-loved sister of Lorraine, Diane, Claire and John.

The most beloved and profoundly kind grandmother to Chloe (Maxime), Alex, Britney (Francis) and Taylor (Jean-Maxime). She was a dear auntie who will not be forgotten by Marc, Michelle, Chantale, Dean, Nathalie, Christine and Sylvie and a treasured great-aunt and pseudo auntie to so many others.

Yolande touched countless lives with her generosity, her laughter, her unwavering support, and her ability to make everyone feel at home. Known also as the purple women she will leave her purple path throughout all the souls she crossed.

Her absence leaves an immeasurable void, and she will be missed beyond belief by us all.
