It is with great sadness we announce the death of Bob Dinwoodie, peacefully at home surrounded by family, on August 31, 2025. Beloved husband of Anne, he is also survived by his family – Sheila & Dave Howard, David & Stacie Dunwoodie and was a loving Grumpy to Jamie, Carly, Nolan, Ryan, Olivia and James. Bob leaves friends and family in England, where he was born. Our heartlfelt thanks to the CLSC Lac-St-Louis and Dr. Melisa Gudzio, whose care made it possible for him to spend his final days at home. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

August 31, 2025 at 9:28 pmBob-there are no words except for no matter what sarcastic banter I threw at you, you always had a better comeback, you gave me a great appreciation for European wines, and you shared my weird quirk/passion of looking at restaurant menus! I am truly going to miss your excitement (and your many books) about all the new places we were traveling to. And if you didn’t know anything, you always made sure to look it up and let us know anything interesting! Thank you for always treating me like part of your family. Next time I see a menu I think you would appreciate, or I have a “martian” way too early on Christmas morning, I will think of you! Rest in peace Bob! ‘Til we meet again!

September 2, 2025 at 12:54 pmCoincidentally, Bob drifted into my thoughts many times over the past few weeks. A Wonderful Man. The essence of Joie de Vivre! He knew what was important in life, and appreciated it all! I don’t think I ever saw him without a smile, or a smile just waiting to burst forth. I always enjoyed conversations with Bob – he was interested in EVERYTHING! He could see the humour in any situation, and with one of his characteristic British quips, he could turn any situation around. His warmth was pervasive, right down to his sweetness and patience with each of his little pups. I was very fond of Bob and was always happy to see him on any occasion! We always referred to to Anne and Bob as a power couple and I am honoured to have known him and have very fond memories of him . Our sincere condolences to Anne , the kids and grandkids.
