Roni lived a full life. Born in Montreal, then lived on the North Shore, in Guinea, Israel, Mali, Labrador, the Eastern Townships, and eventually Beaurepaire.

Predeceased by her mother, Elvira McManus, a war bride, and her father, Pierre Dubuc, a decorated war hero at Dieppe.

Survived by her beloved son, Louis Ouellet (Josée) and her beloved sister Mimi (Richard), and many friends, including those at Villa Beaurepaire.

Predeceased also by her husband, Raymond Dagenais, her son Richard (Gail, now with Bucky), her son Michael, and her son-in-law O’Leary Hennessy.

She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they loved her: Vanessa (Justin), Louis-Pierre, Sarah-Eve, Breann, Sage, Landon, and Harlan.

A salute to Roni’s life will be held on her 80th Birthday May 12, 2026, 2-5 PM

At the Double Tree Inn: 6700 TransCanada Highway at St. John’s, Pointe-Claire.

Instead of flowers, consider a donation to the Lakeshore General Hospital. These fine doctors and nurses extended her life for years, when it made sense, and helped her ease away comfortably when the time had come.
