With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wah Chun Eng (or Wally to many), who left us peacefully on February 1, 2025, at the age of 92 at Lakeshore General Hospital. A devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved grandfather, Wally was the heart of his family—a man of kindness, quiet strength, and loving patience.
He leaves behind his wife, Pui Yee Chu, and daughters Helen (Chris), Hanna, and Amy (John). His legacy lives on through his adored grandchildren, Jessica, Andrew, Sierra, and Mia, who will forever carry his warmth and spirit in their hearts.
Wally will always be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, and joyful spirit. Wally will be deeply missed, but his spirit remains ever-present in the love he gave, and the lives he touched.
A visitation will be held at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9H 2A7, on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a tribute and eulogies at 4 p.m. We invite close friends and family to join us for dinner at Tong Por Restaurant, 12242 Blvd. Laurentien, Montreal, Quebec H4K 1M9 at 6:30 p.m.
Those who wish may consider making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Wally’s memory in lieu of flowers.
