Mr. Klaus Fuller

On June 22, 2025, we, Marie Pauw Fuller and Debbie Fuller, lost a special person, Klaus Fuller. He was a husband to Marie for over 62 years and father to Debbie. As well as two sisters Helga and Ute (Kurt Schroeder) living overseas. He also has a surviving sister-in-Law, Martha Ebert and brother-in-law Nick Pauw, as well as many nieces and nephews.

We hope that he is now in a better place with no pain; he suffered for many years with back pain, ending his life in a wheelchair. He came to Canada in 1958 from Karlsruhe, Germany with just a suitcase and a dream. He worked many different jobs among some of which was an electrician, installer of parquetry flooring and a furnace technician serving mostly the West Island. One of his dreams was to build his own house and that he did with the help of his brother-in-law Martin. This is where he resided from 1976 till just a year ago. He was always seen puttering in his garden, he would start the plants in the basement from seeds and then moved them to the green house and when weather permitted, planted in the garden outside. Every morning, he would get up early and tend the garden and he would be furious if the groundhog got to the garden during the night. He tried various different means to deter the groundhog and other predators but nothing worked. His other passion was the country cottage, a little place in paradise with too many stories and memory to be told here.

Many thanks to the Richardson Hospital, the CHSLD West Island Manor and lastly the Lakeshore General Hospital where he spent the last three weeks – you were amazing and a special thank you to Lynn for all her support not just as a nurse but as a niece/cousin to Mom and I.
