Mme Micheline Jonkov

December 2 1940- February 11 2019

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother Micheline Jonkov (née Décarie) on February 11, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

Micheline was predeceased by her husband Tony, the love of her life who she spent 49 years with to the day. She will be so dearly missed by her children Kim (Frank) and Anthony (Elfée), her proudest accomplishments. She was a devoted grand-mother to 6 cherished grand-children Florian, Maya, Coralie, Annabelle, Milan and Marion who will greatly miss their Omi. Recently predeceased by her brother Claude (Denise), she leaves behind her sister Diane, brothers Jacques and Daniel, several relatives and close friends, not to forget her new found friends at Le Carrefour des Aînés de Pierrefonds.

Micheline will be remembered for her love of family and her extraordinary generosity towards her loved ones and friends. She was always there to selflessly care and support others during their time of need, putting others’ well-being and happiness ahead of her own. In addition to helping others, Micheline was very talented with nimble fingers “doigts de fée” which could sew up a storm, a gift she had developed at a very young age. She also had in her later years discovered a passion for creating wonderful works of jewelry, beading hours on end which left us with beautiful keepsakes that we will cherish forever in her memory. Dear Mom, we miss you with all our hearts but find solace that you are now reunited with Dad and we thank you for all the love you gave us. We love you.

As per Micheline’s wish, a private ceremony celebrating her life will take place in the spring.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Voluntas (voluntas.ca, 514-695-7979).
