Peres, Frank
May 20, 2020

April 6, 1934 – May 20, 2020

Frank Peres passed away on May 20, 2020 from COVID-19 at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of the late Doris (DeSa) Peres, cherished father to Maria (called to Heaven shortly after her birth), Collin, Clinton and Ian, treasured father-in-law to Susan and Maria, adored Papa to Kaylea, Mitchell, Sarah and David and dearest uncle, cousin and friend to countless individuals.

Our Dad is reunited in Heaven with Mom, our sister Maria, his mother Clementina, father Fremiot, brother Cyril and all the deceased members of the Peres and DeSa families.

Dad made innumerable sacrifices to allow our family to have a better life in Canada. His convictions and charitable teachings made the world a better place.

He can rest in peace knowing that we will carry on the spiritual and moral values he instilled in us.

Dad lit up rooms into which he walked and his life force has been permanently imprinted on the people who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends across the world continue to pray for Dad and will dearly miss him.

Dad we love you.  Your spirit will live on in us forever.

Until we meet again…

A private virtual service was held for the immediate family on May 22, 2020.

We prayed over Dad’s casket with Father Bertrand, who blessed and committed Dad’s body to God prior to cremation.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life once restrictions are lifted.

We thank our family and friends for their prayers and support.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to your local food bank in Dad’s name.

Kaylea has set up a Facebook fundraiser for a local charity in honor of Nana and Papa:

Please accept my deepest condolences at the passing of your beloved father. Can you confirmed if he once served in the army and was in Europe (England and perhaps Germany)? I am writing from Jamaica.

To my beloved grandfather, one of the most kind hearted, genuine, caring people I know. Not a day went by where you weren’t looking out for everyone in our family. I will always love and appreciate everything you did for us, and the lessons you taught me growing up. I love you, and am grateful you are now in peace in heaven with Nana. Please continue to look down on us as we will always remember your legacy. Your grandson, Mitchell

    Papa,
I still can’t believe you are gone. Thank you for all the memories that I will cherish forever. I will never forget your love for everyone. I remember whenever my family and I used to come to Montreal you had every kind of juice available. If we asked for something you didn’t have, we could bet on it that you would have whatever it was waiting for us the next visit. You will be in our hearts always. Miss you more than words❤️❤️

    To my dearest Papa,

I am so grateful that I had grandparents as wonderful as you and Nana. Thank you for constant prayers and guidance. Every time I wrote an exam or did a presentation, I felt better knowing you had prayed for me and that you were waiting for me to call and tell you how it went. Every time the phone rings, I think we all still expect it to be your call.

Thank you to both you and Nana for instilling in us your legacy, work ethic, and the importance of family. I promise to be a guardian of our family, especially for my brother and my cousins, and to continue to watch over them as you and Nana always have.

I cannot wait to hug you and sit with you both again.

    Your granddaughter, Kaylea

It was with great surprise & sorrow that we heard about the death of your father Frank, mother Doris & Uncle Cyril. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you
Colin, Clinton & Ian. May their souls rest in peace & may God give you children the grace & strength to bear this tremendous loss & may God hold you in His arms & comfort you in your grief. You may not remember me Cassie Rebello but I belonged to the Rosario family that lived on the top floor of your house on D’Monte St. in Bandra, Bombay. You may remember my brother Austin Rosario who informed us of your parents demise. Our prayers & regards to you.

It was only when my brother Austin Rosario informed us in UK to give me Brenda (nee Rosario)the saddest news that our dearneighbours Frankie and Doris had passed away into their Heavenly Home. We didn’t keep in touch – I married and have children and grandchildren, but times like this show that our neighbours and friends have their corner in our hearts. We are truly saddened Colin, Clinton and Ian and families that you have the double loss of your wonderful, loving parents. We pray their souls rest in peace and especially for you all – that Our Blessed Mother gives you comfort and solace in your time of grief.

I lived in the house above you in Bandra, sister to Austin Rosario, who informed us of their deaths. I remember you boys as young children and I am so sorry to hear about your mum and dad. We remember your family with great fondness and may your mum and dad rest in peace and receive their reward in heaven. God bless
