Dec 15, 1938 – Aug 21, 2020
Noëlla died of cancer on Friday, August 21, 2020, at the West Island Palliative Care Residence. She leaves to mourn her sister Rose-Aimée Todd, who will be lost without her, and her beloved cat Buddy. The daughter of Thérèse Bouchard and Edmond Alphonse Poulain, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law Richard Todd who she helped care for in his final years.
Noëlla had a beautiful dramatic soprano voice: she studied voice with May Lawson in Winnipeg and at Juilliard in New York. She loved the color blue, chocolate, visiting Florida, living in the West Island, dining in good restaurants, Formula One racing, British drama on PBS, listening to classical music, crossword puzzles, and her computer. She was patient, kind, loyal, loving, gentle and generous.
There will be a funeral mass in the presence of her ashes at Saint Joachim Church in Pointe Claire on Friday September 11th at 2:00. Donations in Noella’s memory to the CNIB, the Old Brewery Mission or the SPCA would be gratefully acknowledged.
