SIMONEAU, Marcelle (née Bourgeois)
- April 14, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcelle Simoneau (née Bourgeois) on April 14 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, four days shy of her 99th Birthday.
Loving wife to Fernand Simoneau (predeceased) Marcelle was the proud mother of Paul (Heather, deceased), Danielle (Jean-François), Joanne (Jeff), Louise (Joe); grandmother to Andrea, Michelle (Rob), Ryan (Alexa), Eric (Tanya), Nicholas, Courtney (Michael), Justin and Paul; great grandmother to Alyssa, Dominic, Megan, Emma, Vincent and Ellyana. She also leaves her brother Roger, sister in-law Francine and numerous nieces and nephews.
As a woman of her time, Marcelle prioritized her family and worked tirelessly to provide a comfortable home, great meals, host social gatherings and encourage sport activities. Our mother was a model of resilience for us all!
The visitation will take place at Voluntas commemorative, 4695 St-Jean, Dollard-des Ormeaux, QC, H9H 2A7, on Sunday, May 18 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 after which family, friends and acquaintances are invited to a reception ending at 5:30.
The family wishes to thank the personnel at Maison de vie Sunrise DDO for their constant care during the past year of our mother’s life with a particular mention of Joy. We also wish to thank the staff at Lakeshore hospital for their kind attention. Marcelle developed significant relationships with people who provided hair and foot care for many years. Thank you to Kelly, Meta and Elena for Marcelle’s weekly hair care provided in a warm and affective environment, as well as a word of thanks to Maritsa for her attentive ear during foot care treatments.
