It is with heartfelt sadness and gratitude for a life lived to the fullest that we announce the peaceful passing of Nadia Hakim (née Tarazi) on January 25, 2026, at the age of 93. Nadia was born in Cairo, Egypt and settled in Montreal by way of New York City.

Nadia now reunites in peace with her beloved husband, Alfred, and her siblings Robert, Joe, Mimi, and Sonia, who was also her best friend.

Mourning her passing are her daughter Mona and son Nicolas, her grandchildren Tranna and Kristyn (Joel), and her great-grandchildren, Phoenyx and Eden, as well as her many nieces and nephews, their spouses, and other dear family members and friends.

Her family will never forget the deep love she had for them, her strength, optimism, and sense of humour. Nadia was the life of the party. There was nothing that she cared about more than the health and happiness of her family. Nadia was a very special, vivacious woman and will always be remembered for her kind, caring, and generous soul.

A visitation will be held at Voluntas Commémoration on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 from 10am to 12pm followed by a service at 12pm and reception.

Special thanks to Nabil, Marie-Hélène, Mike and Linda.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Nova West Island would be greatly appreciated.
