In Loving Memory of Timothy “Timmy” Tassinari

February 23, 1971 – March 3, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Tassinari on March 3, 2026.

Timothy was the beloved son of Lamberto Tassinari and Patricia Vergelyn. He was born on February 23, 1971, in Florence, Italy, and moved to Montreal in 1981, the city he would come to love deeply and call home for the rest of his life.

Timmy was a truly special soul. At just 18 months old, he suffered a devastating accident that changed the course of his life. A miracle child, his journey was marked by disabilities, difficult times, and many struggles. Yet despite every challenge, Timothy lived his life to its fullest potential. He never allowed adversity to define him. Instead, he defined his own path, one filled with passion, curiosity, love, and resilience.

He lived independently, travelled to Europe several times, spoke three languages, fell in love, and built meaningful friendships. Timothy was a talented street photographer. He worked at a radio station and several restaurants, always bringing his unique spirit and warmth wherever he went.

A true Montrealer, Timmy loved walking the city’s streets and photographing its vibrant life. He enjoyed spending time at his favourite spots, like The Burgundy Lion and Next Door Pub & Grill.

Timothy was a devoted cinephile who seemed to know every movie, director, and actor. His favourite film was Superman, and in many ways, he had his own superpowers. Elvis Presley had no bigger fan. Timmy even travelled to Nashville to visit his idol’s hometown. His love of music was deep and eclectic, from The Doors, The Beatles, 90’s dance music and beyond.

Timmy’s sudden passing leaves a deep ache in our hearts. But he leaves behind laughter, stories, photographs, and memories that will live on forever. We find comfort in imagining him reunited with his beloved mother, walking side by side again, just like always.

He leaves behind his loving and dedicated father, Lamberto; his brother, Mattia; his sister-in-law, Monica; his niece, Valentina; his nephew, Diego; and aunts, uncles, and cousins in Montreal and Italy.

Timmy, you lived your life your way with courage, humour, and style. You were loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 2-5 p.m., at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc H9H A7.
