BAGSHAW, Gregory Harley

Greg is survived by his mother, Barbara Bagshaw, and was predeceased by his father, Daniel Harley Bagshaw. He is also deeply missed by Tanya and their children: Carly (Justin), Ryan, Lauren, Connor, Grace and Audrey; their grandchildren Daniel, William, Eugene, Elizabeth, and Rory; his siblings Phil (Theresa); Heidi (Adrian), Martin (Nadia), Bridget (Carlo), and Max (Katya); as well as many nieces, nephews, beloved colleagues, and dear friends.

By day, Greg was Associate Director of IST Operations at Dawson College. Outside of work, he was super-dad, super-grandad, cyclist, kayaker, rugby player, skier, and an all-around outdoorsman. In his final days, Greg said he would « play as hard as he could, for as long as he could » — and that he did. He organized reunions, pub nights,  canoe camping trips in Algonquin Park, and fat-biking adventures through the trilliums of Eastern Ontario, bringing together hundreds of family and friends along the way. Greg welcomed everyone, and if you were along for one of his adventures, it was guaranteed to be a good time.

Greg was a lifelong devoted member of St. Luke’s Parish in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, where he taught Catechism. His deep faith imbued his life – he would drop everything to help anyone in need, especially in his large and extended family, and he was always our biggest cheerleader.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Parish on Wednesday, August 6, at 11:00 a.m.
