It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother & grandmother Danielle Cussen.
Dani passed away peacefully in hospital surrounded by her family following a short illness. Predeceased by her loving husband Clarence (2011) and son Greg (2023), Dani is survived by her son Gary (Charlene) and daughter-in-law Lisa. Loving Nana to Ashly (Henrik), Sabrina (Pete), Chelsea (Jason), Katelyn (Thomas), Brad, Nickolas (Shaeleigh) and proud great-Nana to Sadie, Casey, and Emma.
After moving to the West Island in 1968, Dani discovered her passion for barbershop singing, joining the Sweet Adelines West Island chapter for many years. Her love of cooking and baking filled her home with warmth and delicious treats, a joy shared by her husband, children, grandchildren and many family & friends.
Dani and Clarence devoted their time to volunteering, often delivering fresh baked goods to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dani’s memory may be made to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors & nurses at Lakeshore General Hospital (3 West) for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1:30–6:30 pm at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, H9H 2A7. This will include a small service at 3 p.m.
