MONTAGUE, Reginald Stephen

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald Stephen Montague peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 94. We have lost a kind, curious and inspirational man who had a profound impact on all who knew him. Steve enjoyed life and remained positive to the end.

Husband of the late Edith Imogene Astwood (1975), he leaves behind his partner of 47 years Mary Edith Haselton (Hoerig), his sons Trevor Stephen Montague and John Frederick Montague. Their families including wives Carolyn and Ingrid, his grandchildren Erin, Alex, Kaitlin and Ryan and his ‘adopted’ family through Mary – Mathew and Meredith with their spouses Tomi, Adrien and children Chrissy, Mary, Evvie and Ella who will all miss him dearly – as will numerous other family and friends in both the Montreal and Stanstead areas.

There will be a celebration of Steve’s life on May 10, 2025, at the Voluntas Funeral Home located at 4695 Boulevard St Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc H9H 2A7. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations would be welcome in Steve’s name to Cedar Park United Church in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
